Recently I started walking 2-3 miles three times a week to supplement my gym exercise and aerobics. I had seen people walking with poles and I was impressed with their energy and graceful movement. After doing some research about the effectiveness of the poles, I decided to get a pair for both my husband and me. There is a wide variety of features and price tags. I wanted cork handles to help manage sweaty palms, hand straps to secure poles to my hands, easy adjustment, quality construction and durability, reasonable price. These poles had it all PLUS a bag to carry them in, extra "feet" to attach on varied terrain, and — most importantly — a GREAT PRICE. The poles are exactly as advertised and I have gotten used to using them. They are supposed to help burn at least 20% more calories during my walk. Burn, babies, burn!

The Power Of Sound

The great physicist and sound expert of Philadelphia, the late Mr. John Worrel Keely, demonstrated to the world that the harmonious sound emitted from a violin could raise a machine from the ground, but others could not do it, as the feat depended on a certain personal spiritual advancement and achievement.

Vedas are the genesis of the Hindu religion. Vedas are eternal sounds. The source of sound is in the atoms of air and the quality of the sound follows the exit of the air propelled by the attempt of the speaker through particular anatomical parts of the mouth and its precincts. Thus emanate particular sounds, Guttural, Labial, Dental, Cerebral, and Palatal. The progress of the sabda or sound had its origin in the Vedas only. Each and every sound has its own meaning and corresponding effect.

Mantras are sacred sounds. The Mantra is only an easy means of expressing a series of sounds capable of discharging a course of vibrations which will exhibit a particular physical consequence.

On this principle is founded the efficacy of the divine missiles. These missiles are generated and controlled by Mantras which couched in particular combinations of sound-producing letters. Powerful astras or divine missiles called Brahmastra , Nagastra etc. were used by the ancients.

While the sound could be used for destructive purposes, it can be used as a healing force also. In ancient India, sound was used for healing. In the 18th century Ernest Chladni, a German physicist found that when a violin bow was drawn vertically across the rim of a metal plate the sound waves produced created patterns in sand sprinkled on the plate. The vibration produced by the bow throws the sand particles into violent commotion and when these particles settle down beautiful patterns are formed depending upon the nature of the vibration. These are called Chladni Figures.

Different musical notes would cause the sand particles to move into geometric patterns.

It is interesting to note that the Indian music swaras, seven in number, sa, ri, ga, ma, pa, da, ni produce and maintain basic emotions also. I.K.Taimini states: ?Many experiments carried both in India and Europe have shown that the vibrations produced by musical instruments are capable of producing forms on a screen, the form depending upon the particular type of music produced. In fact, it is believed that the representation of different ragas and raginis (melodies or tunes) of Indian music by different well defined forms is based upon the observation of such forms by clairvoyant vision?.

Further research carried out in this direction reveals that the sacred sounds produced in a particular manner and order have its healing effect on cells of the human body also.

One can learn the Nada Yoga or Yoga of sound and achieve the desired results.

I’m disappointed that the terms "Ultralight" and "Green" are used with this product. I think this misleading attempt to cash in on publicity for new "ultralite" synthetic materials used for hiking, mountain and rock climbing. It’s also advertised as "great for backpacking," but I don’t think so. Camping Hammocks exist, such as those from Hennessy, which are complete alternatives to camping tents. They do have "ultralite" models which use more expensive materials to minimize weight. Ultralite Backpacker A-Sym (1.15 lbs) Hennessy Hammock Expedition A-sym The Green, Ultralight Travel Hammock might be great for other purposes, but the marketing makes me suspicious and unconfortable. Does it stand up to mold, mildew and rot in storage? Will it last for more than a summer or two?

This is a dangerous product - do not buy it. The first time I used it the rope snapped and I almost landed head first on the ground. The problem is that the cheap eye hook they use has a sharp edge and will cut through the poor quality main support rope. I just bought a better quality Hammock, of the same design, at the Supermarket for $9.95.

I adore this lightweight hammock. It is easy to use and easy to love. Definite must for camping!

Review date : 2008-06-20
This product is great!! I actually bought it to hang under my daughter’s loft bed instead of the standard coach. She loves it. It is simple to hang up. It is incredibly light weight but can easily hold a 200lb man. It has enough material too. Great item. The one negative item is that when a grown man lays in it the hammock pulls tight and you can’t lay with your legs straight in front of you. But still great!!!

Review date : 2008-06-19
Three of these hammocks were bought for a camping trip with my kids (ages 12 and 14). The first observation, the hammock does not come with a attach it to a tree. So my kids learned how to braid cord into rope so we could hang our hammocks.

The item as its shown at the time of this review says it comes with a free hanging kit. It this hammock does not come with a hanging kit, make sure you get something to hang this hammock with - or you will be sleeping on the ground.

I was disappointed that the hammocks did not come with at least a few feet of nylon rope. All you get in this package is the hammock, no rope, no cord no nothing to hang it with. To fix this problem, I bought some nylon rope and some D-rings with an 800 pound safe working limit. The D-rings can now be used for other things, as needed.

The stuff sack is attached to the side of the hammock. This is a nice touch, as it prevents you from loosing the stuff sack and its nice for having your flashlight close by at night.

The hammock needs to be a little wider, as you can roll out of it somewhat easily. I was sitting next to the camp fire and heard a "thud" - looked over and my 14 year old son had rolled out of his hammock. Good thing for him it was only about a foot off the ground. While I was trying to go to sleep in the hammock, I rolled around and almost fell out.

Overall this is a good quality, but its made in communist china. I was disappointed to see that the hammock was not made in the USA.

Treasured Keepsakes Or Clutter? A Look At Memorabilia

Handwritten notes, children’s artwork, report cards, ticket stubs . . . little tidbits of our lives. What’s worth keeping? What should be released? Only you can decide which items hold most meaning and importance for you.

As you decide which items to keep, we do offer a word of advice. Keep those items that truly stir your heart or capture important events, and allow yourself to release the rest. In her book, The Gift of the Sea, Anne Morrow Lindbergh compares our lives to the process of collecting seashells. Imagine that you are exploring the beach, gathering shells along the way. Each time you uncover a shell, you carefully consider its beauty and uniqueness. You decide whether or not it is worth keeping. By carefully choosing which shells to keep, you end up with a small collection of beautiful shells that bring you joy. If you had insisted on keeping every shell, then your beautiful shells would be lost in the mass of other shells.

The same can be said for your memorabilia. If you insist on keeping every item that is attached to a memory of an event or special person in your life, then you will soon be overwhelmed, and your truly precious keepsakes will be lost among the masses. If you need more convincing, then just remember the major side benefit of purging. Your task of organizing your memorabilia will be so much easier!

Once you decide which items to keep, you can make the secondary decision on how to store or display the items. Whichever method you choose, you should be sure to protect your keepsakes from acid, lignin and PVC.

Here’s a quick explanation of these hazards:

? Acid: A chemical substance that can weaken paper and cloth, causing it to brown and become brittle.
? Lignin: An organic substance that is present in wood pulp. It becomes more and more acidic as it deteriorates. (The yellowing effect of a newspaper is an example of lignin.)
? PVC: (also known as polyvinyl chloride) A chemically active plastic that, when combined with moisture in the air can emit hydrochloric acid.

This may sound complicated, but you don’t need to worry about remembering the details. Just remember that acid, lignin and PVC will damage photographs and memorabilia! For ultimate protection of your precious keepsakes, be sure that all of your storage and display materials are acid-free, lignin-free, and PVC free.

If you would like to include your memorabilia in a scrapbook album, you have several options:

  • Test the item. A pH-testing pen will allow you to determine the level of acidity in your item. It might be acid-free, in which case you can put it directly into your album. pH pens are very simple to use; most have a color and pH chart on the outside of the pen. You simply mark your item in an inconspicuous place and check the color against the chart.
  • Use a de-acidification spray to remove the acid from your items. If you choose this method, then please be aware that you may need to retreat items after a length of time.
  • Color photocopy your memorabilia on to acid-free paper.
  • Take photographs of your child’s artwork. You can keep the reminder and get rid of the bulk. By the way, this is a great way to use up those last few pictures on a roll of film.
  • Use polypropylene memorabilia pockets to safely encapsulate and display small items such as ticket stubs, hospital tags or locks of hair.
  • Create a pocket page in your scrapbook album to hold awards, greeting cards, report cards or children’s artwork. To do this you’ll need two pieces of acid-free cardstock sized to fit your album. Cut the top off of one piece so that it is three to four inches shorter than the other piece (leaving the width as is). Place acid-free adhesive on the bottom and the two sides and adhere the shorter piece directly on top of the full-size piece of cardstock. This will provide you with a pocket to hold your assorted memorabilia, and you can embellish the front of the pocket as you choose. Be sure to use acid-free adhesives when mounting memorabilia directly onto your album pages. You can use self-adhesive photo corners or a corner slot punch for those items that you don’t want to permanently mount.

To safeguard your precious keepsakes, practice these Dont’s:

  • Do not use rubber cement, tape or glue, which may contain acid and harmful chemicals that will destroy your photos and memorabilia.
  • Do not laminate memorabilia. Laminating with common heat-sealing laminating machines permanently traps dust and contaminants in a closed environment. Laminating machines that use heat subject your memorabilia to high heat and strong pressure that can cause it to age more quickly. And, laminating with a heat-sealing laminating machine means that the lamination is irreversible.
  • Never put newspaper directly into your scrapbook albums. Newspaper is a cheap paper that contains lignin. Have you ever noticed how quickly a newspaper yellows especially if it exposed to sunlight’ The yellowing effect is the result of lignin. Newspaper also contains acid. Storing photographs and memorabilia with newspaper creates a damaging environment for your keepsakes, as the acid will migrate from the newspaper.
  • If you do not want to create a scrapbook album, you can still enjoy your items in the future, by ensuring their safety with the use of archival-quality storage supplies such as: acid-free file folders, archival boxes or polypropylene enclosures. (Remember: All supplies for storing and displaying photos or memorabilia should be acid-free, lignin-free, and PVC free!)

If you’ve been feeling guilty because you haven’t organized and protected your family’s keepsakes, then take heart. This accomplishment pales in comparison to the significance of the journey you embark on each day — creating joyful memories with the people you cherish most in your life.

Christine Sutton and her business partner, Tracey DuBois have helped countless people organize, protect, and enjoy their precious photographs. They have spent the past two years outlining a proven step-by-step plan to help people conquer their piles of photographs–once and for all. In their e-book, Save Your Photos and Your Sanity they help people evaluate their personal needs and organizing style, and offer three distinct plans for accomplishing the task in a unique and FUN approach. Three Ways Journaling Can Boost Your Creativity And Your Business

I have a friend who has struggled with her creativity for a long time. She’s extremely uncomfortable thinking of herself as creative. We’ve been working together on it, and making progress. One of the tools that’s really helped her has been journaling.

From Julia Cameron’s The Artist Way to Natalie Goldberg’s Writing Down the Bones to Linda Trichter Metcalf, Ph.D. and Tobin Simon, Ph.D.’s Writing the Mind Alive to numerous other publications, journaling has enjoyed a long history of creative-nurturing along with a host of other benefits.

For my purposes, I’m defining journaling as any sort of loose, longhand writing. Whatever thoughts come into your head you put them down on paper. There’s no structure, no form, nor concern about spelling or grammar or even legibility.

Even if writing isn’t your dream, incorporating a regular program of journaling into your life is a wonderful way to jump-start your creativity and cultivate a constant flow of new ideas. Here are three reasons why.

1. Helps you get rid of the junk in your head. We all have it. Junk thoughts. Everything from self-defeating comments (Oh, I’ll never be good at that. or Who told you that you could be a writer?) to the worry of the moment to neurosis of every type to the ever-growing, constant to-do lists.

Who can be creative with all that noise going on? For that matter, who could even hear a creative thought over all that racket?

Journaling is a way to quiet the mind. Writing all that junk down transfers it from your head to the paper. Suddenly, you find you can actually think rather than simply react.

The best part is this quiet lasts long after the journaling is done for the day. And if you journal frequently, then the effect is cumulative.

When I finish journaling, I find that I feel peaceful. Calm. Able to focus. The junk is gone, leaving space to be creative.

2. Gives you a chance to try new ideas. What better way to see if a new idea will work than to try it out on paper? You can write out the pros and cons, describe a scenario, play what if games (What if my new business was successful? What if I tried that new advertising campaign? What if I contacted the editor at Money Magazine?). And the best part is it’s all in a private little notebook that no one will ever have to see.

Try writing down your hopes, dreams, goals, visions. Play around with them. You may find as you journal about them, a strategy for making them come true suddenly presents itself, right there in the pages of your notebook.

3. Helps you build a bridge to your muse. This one really only kicks in after you’ve sufficiently done number one (at least, this is the way it works for me). It seems only after I’ve gotten most of the junk out of my head that the muse sometimes slips out to play a bit.

How do you know the muse came to visit you? When that brilliant idea flashes in your head. It may not happen while you’re journaling, but instead while you’re showering, walking, driving or something else. This is the muse talking to you.

It’s important to remember muses have quiet voices. They can easily be drowned out by the incessant bickering of the other noisy chatter going on in your head. Once you can get those other voices to shut up, you can start to listen for the muse.

Don’t worry if this doesn’t happen right away. There have been weeks and even months when I write nothing but junk down. But then, one day, that great idea appears on the paper or in my head as I’m walking my dogs.

And when that happens, I know all the time I spent journaling about nothing has paid off.

Creativity Exercises — Journal more ideas

I would love it if you made a pact with yourself to journal regularly for a month. If that’s too much of a commitment for you, try it as a creativity exercise.

Write down your challenge at the top of a piece of paper. Maybe it’s ways to increase business or promote your products more or a new PR campaign. Now just start writing about it.

Don’t think, just write. Fill a few pages of musing about that particular challenge. Don’t type it either — write longhand. If you wander away from it, try nudging yourself back.

Write for at least 20 minutes. If no answer presents itself in that time, don’t get too hung up about it. Try it again the next day or a few days in a row. Sometimes it just takes awhile to jar things loose. And remember, great ideas have a tendency to pop up in the most unexpected places, not just when you’re doing something creative.

I go to a lot of music festivals, and used this tent for two years before I had any issues with it. It is easy to put up and take down, and it doesn’t take up a lot of space in the trunk. The screened vents are very nice when the weather is a bit too warm. However, I was asleep in this tent at a music festival when Hurricane Ike hit Arkansas. Water-proof my bum. Everything in my tent was completely soaked, including myself. But the only damage to the tent was a ripped pole guide, and I can sew that back on easily. So if you’re planning on going camping where the weather might turn violent, this is not the best tent. Otherwise, great product for the price. Just don’t go camping in hurricanes.

Review date : 2008-12-12
I picked up this tent, because I have been doing a lot of car camping lately with my lady friend and my old tent was a little cramped for both of us and various sundries. When I first set the tent up in my flat, I realized the thing IS HUGE! Setup was a snap and takedown just as easy. It has room for a king size inflatable with room to spare. We had a king size inflatable, day packs, cooler, and a couple smaller bags…and still had plenty of space left. It’s a great tent. For rthw price, I wasn’t really expecting it to be so nice. My only complaints are that it doesn’t compact very well. I can barely fit it in m pack and the second is that it’s heavy. Not recommended for any hike or walk in camping, but is fantastic for car camping or of you need a tent for multiple small kids.

This was a birthday gift for my 9 year old grandson. Well, the first one came with a hole in it but Amazon was great and sent me a free shipping label to send it back and shipped out a new one immediately. It came very quickly and in time for my grandson’s birthday. He absolutely loves it. It was easy to set up, they put a blow up mattress in it and it fit perfectly. He had friends over to sleep out in the backyard three nights in a row. They played games (by flashlight)told stories and had a blast. My daughter said it’s great for two adults but three would be a little tight, especially with the mattress but next year my son-in-law will take my grandson to the state park and it will be perfect for the two of them. It has been great fun and cost less than some electronic toy. Also better than those "kid" tents that are OK in the house but blow away outside.

Mistakes Keep You From Living

Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life. ~Sophia Loren

I never make stupid mistakes. Only very, very clever ones. ~John Peel

It has been my experience that the fear of making a mistake is one of the main ways people keep themselves from living to the fullest, from living outrageously. Yet what is a mistake, really? Who says it is a mistake?

A mistake is something that, we or someone else, judges as wrong, either the wrong action, the wrong course to take or the wrong interpretation or understanding of something. And so what! Many times what we label as a mistake is simply that we tried something and found that it didn’t work out the way we hoped. One of my clients said, It was a mistake to get involved with her in the first place. ?But was it really?? I asked. Well, I did not enjoy it in the end and after a few months I broke it off in frustration. he replied. ?Ok, so how else could you look at it?? I asked him. I guess I could say I found out that she really didn?t meet my requirements. In fact I learned about a new requirement that I didn?t know I had. Yeah! And that is great information that you can take and use to help you make a better choice.

Is the fear of making a mistake keeping you from doing something you want? Is it keeping you from going anywhere, with anyone you want? What if you were willing to let go of wanting things to turn out a certain way? What if you decided it was ok to have an outcome that you did not expect? How could your life or your relationships be fuller or richer if you were willing to look foolish from time to time in an effort to experience more?

Sometimes people do not pursue activities or relationships because they ask, Why bother? I don’t know where this is going to lead. What are they really saying here? Perhaps they are saying, Well I don’t want to put out the effort if I am not going to get the result I want. That is simply and excuse to not putting one’s self fully into the activity or the relationship. What could happen if you did put yourself fully into the experience and let go of any attachment to the outcome? In other words not be afraid of making a mistake. When you let go of your judgments of how a thing has to be, you may be surprised at what can happen.

I spent endless hours online looking for a good tent. This was my first time camping and I was not sure at all what type of tent to buy. There is simply too much to chose from. I was basically looking for a reasonably price 3 season tent with good rain protection. Eureka SUnrise had the best reviews and I decided to go with this one.

We went for 2 nights camping at Acadia National Park in Maine. I tried to put it together myself alone but it was too hard to do it. I had to ask a friend to help me out. WIth 2 persons it is very easy to put up. The feature i liked the best was the 4 windows. It was a bit hot during the day and the cross ventilation kept the tent inside cool. At night it got a bit cold so we zipped the windows and after that it was nice and cozy inside. It did not rain so can’t comment on that aspect. It was easy to fold it and took a lot less time. The poles are a little heavy so if you have the $$$ then I would suggest to go with light weight aluminum pole tent.

I gave this tent 4 stars because the tent description said that even a single person can put it up but I found it very hard to do it especially there is no way a single person can put the rainfly by himself. The tent is 7 foot hight at the center and the rainfly has to go over it. You have to put the rainfly on the ground flat first, put the poles in it and then lift it and put it on top of tent. It is a huge rainfly and if its windy it is almost impossible for a single person to do it.

Overall I am glad that I purchased this tent. However at I paid $210 for this tent and not it is selling for $174 :(. I would say it is a good deal.

We went through four different tents and this one was by far the best to set up and the space available for everyone is great! My daughter’s favorite part are the cup holders and shelves just her size.

We looked around at a number of family tents. We purchased one and found that it was extremely difficult to set up in even the most minimal amount of wind. My wife and I are both experienced campers and hikers so we were surprised when we couldn’t get the tent up properly. We even borrowed a friend’s family tent and proceeded to rip the base the first time we tried to stretch the tent out to stake it.

This tent is different. It is logical to put up. Once up it is spacious. The first time we put it up only took ten or fifteen minutes (include the time to yell at our 1 year old and 3 year old to get off it or we can’t put it up). Internally it has some nice storage features (lots of little pockets and places to store items). I never thought any of that kind of stuff was usefull or necessary until trying to find where the diaper cream went amongst all of the sleeping bags. The tent has nice features without appearing loaded with gimmicks.

And here is the real clincher - the sack that the tent comes in actually fits the tent. Not like you have to bring a hydraulic press to squeeze it in - it actually fits. What a relief after a long weekend of camping. I have never written a review before but was moved enough by the quality of this product.

The only downside I can think of - the stakes included are the cheezy plastic variety that don’t always work in all soil types. And there is not a waterproof assembly instruction printed on the bag (always a nice touch but not needed here since assembly is so logical). Also the way the rain fly goes on is a bit odd (attaching the cross poles to the fly and THEN sliding it over the top).

But the downsides so pale in comparison to the pluses. We are 100% satisfied so far!

We bought this tent to replace a similar Eureka tent that lasted more than 10 years. We love our new Eureka tent! We didn’t even use seam sealer, but it still stayed dry inside during rain on our recent camping trip.

The old tent had four main poles that connected to a center piece, and it was very easy to put up, even by one person. This new tent is just a little harder to put up because there are two very long main poles that arch across the top from corner to corner. We decided that the best process for putting it up was to first stake two corners on the same side of the tent. Then, with the tent flat, we put the two poles through the sleeves and attached them at the two staked corners. Next, the two of us each stood an an unstaked corner so we could simultaneously arch the two poles and fasten the other ends in place. Finally we staked down the third and fourth corner and the sides. Putting up the fly was a breeze.

The tent has a large window on each side, and the zippers worked smoothly! The cupholders and pockets are great, and there are little loops on the inside of seams so you can hang other stuff.

Work At Home Moms: Time Management Tips

How do you DO it?! If I had a dime for every time I heard that, I would be able to quit my home business.

Just kidding.

Seriously, time management is a serious issue for work from home Moms. You want your home business to be a success, but you don’t want the rest of your responsibilities to fall by the wayside…especially your children, who are the reason you chose to work from home in the first place.

While you’re probably already doing some of the obvious things like taking advantage of naptimes and bedtime, I hope you find some additional ideas from the following time management tips to make things easier for you while working from home and caring for young children.

Time Management for your Home Business

Have a clear purpose when you go online

Whenever you go to your computer, have a definite purpose in mind. It helps to keep a notebook by your computer always with your goals and to-do lists in it, all in once place. This helps prevent you from aimlessly checking email or surfing the net and getting lost. Know what you need to accomplish, write it down, do it, and move on to the next activity.

Outsource as many tasks as you can afford Consider hiring a virtual assistant if you have a lot of administrative tasks. Or pay your kids to do things for you that are age appropriate. This can even be a tax deductible expense. Check with your accountant.

Analyze your activities

Think about the steps you engage yourself in with your business and see if those tasks are really paying off for you. A lot of work at home Moms do things like join safelists, traffic exchanges and other activities that most internet marketing experts agree are not the best use of your time. Ask people who are where you want to be in your business how they manage their time. Just because something is free doesn’t mean you should be spending time doing it.

The best $20 you can spend on your business

That may be the money you spend hiring a Mommy’s helper to come over and play with your children for several hours. It’s amazing what you can get done during that time. Plus, your kids usually get worn out from all the fun and take longer naps. Everybody wins!

Think Assembly Line

In other words, group similar activities together. Don’t check your email all day, check it two or 3 times a day (at most) and answer all the emails at the same time. When you want to make changes to your website, list them all and wait until you need to make several changes at once. When one child asks for a story gather them all around. Same thing for snacks. Run all your errands at once.

Utilize Technology

Get wireless internet and a laptop if at all possible. This can make a drastic improvement in your ability to work online around your children. You can sit on the front porch and work on your website while your kids play in the yard. Or you can drop them off at a friend’s house and head to Starbucks and get online!

Use autoresponders, mailing lists and other resources to automate your business. If you find yourself typing out answers to the same questions over and over again, add pages to your website or create an ecourse or downloadable report that addresses those topics and refer your customers or downline or whomever to those.

Household time management

Simplify meal preparation and shopping

That doesn’t mean you spend a lot of extra money on convenience foods that aren’t good for you. But do make simple meals that even your children can help you prepare. Use your crock pot. Collect recipes that require few ingredients and no elaborate preparation.

Have a good routine for making menus and shopping. In the long run, extra trips to the store for that missing ingredient is costing you time and money. Most families eat the same 10 or so favorite dishes over and over. Enlist the help of your family to figure out what those favorites are, print up the ingredients into a shopping list, and take that to the store. Have the list posted on the fridge to mark things off as they’re used up.

General Mom time management tips

Identify time wasters in your day

It’s a different thing for everyone. Maybe it’s the TV, maybe it’s friends calling to chat in the middle of the day. Maybe it’s activities that seem necessary but that really aren’t productive, like posting a lot in message forums. Whatever it is, identify it and eliminate it if possible, or at least manage it. Use your voicemail, and call people back when it’s a better time for you. Figure out if watching Oprah or the Apprentice is really adding value to your life or just wasting your time.

Make a timer your best friend

A timer has so many uses. You can set it to tell your child when you’ll be available for them. Young children have difficulty comprehending time, and the timer will set them at ease so they won’t bug for you that entire period.

It also keeps you on track and helps you finish up tasks more quickly. Use it when you’re reading email, cleaning house, whenever you want to accomplish something fast.

Have a Routine

Having a routine for your household chores and business activities can really help Moms with time management. When you have a good routine, you can do things without thinking, and they always take up less time that way. Keep your routines written down until they’re memorized. Use an organizing calender or digital system…whatever works best for you. Make sure everyone else in your household knows the basics of your routine so that things flow more smoothly.

Set limits

No one person can do everything. Your time and energy is valuable and you need to be firm in setting limits on how you spend it. Don’t commit to things that you can’t reasonably accomplish. Get enough rest. Learn to say No. Avoid negative people who like to whine.

As Moms we’re constantly working on time management, but with creativity and good routines, we can have a thriving business and a balanced life.
