The Grizzly Bears of Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is the peak of Vancouver, you can find Grouse Mountain just 20 minutes away from downtown Vancouver. Grouse Mountain is located on the North Shore and is a very unique location, it hosts a wilderness refuge while still just minutes away from the city. Grouse Mountain accommodates many activities including skiing, snowboarding, shopping, and snowshoeing. In the summer you can enjoy helicopter rides, hiking and the World Famous Lumberjack Show or you can participate in the Grouse Grind Mountain Run. Or you could just take a ride on the Grouse Mountain Gondola for a terrific view of the city. Grouse is mainly known for its winter activities as it is very simple for people who work or attend school to head up to grouse in the evening for a few hours of skiing. The truth is Grouse actually has more visitors in the summer. Grouse also has a fabulous restaurants for your fine dining needs after a hard day of play.

Grouse Mountain also has a wildlife preservation facilities named, “The Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife”. It is a research, education and conservation facility currently accommodating 2 grizzly bears and three gray wolves. Millions of people have come to see the animals here. It is unique because it is not a zoo atmosphere. The animals are not just housed here, like you would find at a zoo. The facility was not build with the public in mind, it was build with the animals in mind. That is the main priority of the animal reserve.

Grizzly Bears are the more aggressive of the bears found in British Columbia. They are also the most vulnerable and most threatened. The fact is that grizzly bears are no longer found in 99% of their original habitat. What many people do not know about grizzly bears is that when they hibernate, they don’t just sleep. They actually sleep and every few hours they get up and walk around almost in a trance. They then lie back down and go back to sleep.

Meet Grinder and Coola, they are the two grizzly bears that live at the mountain refuge for endangered wildlife. Grinder and Coola were 8 months old when they arrived at Grouse Mountain. Both bears had lost their mothers, Coola’s mother was hit by a car and Grinder was discovered wondering alone and dehydrated. The whereabouts of his mother are still a mystery. When Grouse Mountain found about the situation of both Grinder and Coola, they immediately wanted to help because they knew there was no other choice for the bears. They had to obtain special permission to take the bears to their facilities, when this happened they happily invited the two bears to their new home at the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. To view how Grinder and Coola are doing now please visit the link below to watch the live web camera within the Grouse Mountain Animal Refuge.

Why an Olga Bra

The Olga bra collection is a line of top quality fantastic brassieres that offer females of every size and every shape excellent protection and fantastic coverage. No matter what kind of bra you need, the Olga Bra has one for you!

By definition, a brassiere or a bra is an undergarment made for women which is designed to offer support for and cover the women breasts. A bra is typically composed of two elastic straps which are placed in each side of the shoulder, two cups to hold the breasts, a center panel, an underbust band which holds the two bra cups together, and a fastener or a clasp that goes either on the front or on the back to close the brassiere and give added support to the bra cups. Manufacturers use different kinds of material to make the bra such as cotton or lace. Some Olga Bra are even made of spandex material. The cloth and the style of the bra is dependent on the function intended for the bra. Some Olga Bra contain under wires that give topnotch support and improves the shape of the bra cups.

There are different kinds of bra and the Olga bra line has most of them. Training bras are smaller compared to the standard sizes of the brassieres. It was first manufactures during the 1950s to give coverage and support to the adolescent girls who have breasts that are small enough to fit standard size bras. Olga Bra has a pretty, fun line of training bra that comes in nice, vibrant colors. It is usually the first bra a woman possesses, and it symbolizes their entrance into adulthood.

Another kind of bra is the nursing bra. It is also called maternity bra and is actually a special bra that is designed to make motherhood easier. This bra are usually worn by women who breastfeed their babies. It does not have under wires and it allows the babies to access their mothers nipples easily when they are hungry and need to be breastfed.

There are also brassieres that offer full support to women. The Olga Bra line has a line of full support bras. They typically have wires underneath the cups, some of them have pads inserted in the cups, while some do not have pads and are not designed to imitate the fullness of women’s breasts. Women with larger breasts than usual will find the support offered by this kind of bra perfect for them.

The Olga Bra line also offers special push up or padded brassieres. This is a kind of bra that helps to lift the breasts and adds shape to the breasts even without extra padding. Some push up bra even has silicon inside the cups for the breasts to look fuller. This is the kind of bra that woman who desires to enhance their cleavage wears. This type of brassiere makes some styles of dress look good.

Shelf bras are specialized brassieres that are found inside swimsuits and tank tops to give support during special circumstances. Some even come with foams inside the cups to help imitate breast fullness. The Olga Bra line also offers strapless bra which comes without a shoulder strap and goes perfectly with clothes that are designed to show off the shoulders such as halter-necks, off-shoulder, and tube tops.

The Olga Bra line also offers several sports brassieres which provide excellent protection for women during exercise. Sports bras can be worn when jogging, hiking, running, and during any activity when the breasts need maximum support.

Statistics show that an average woman in America today possesses at least six pieces of bra. Among the six bras, usually one of them is not white, and one is strapless. There are also other kinds of bra that offer different function. Some Bali bra are designed to make the breasts look larger, and these are called the maximizers. Some women with large breasts might opt for a brassiere that makes her gifts less conspicuous, and these are called the minimizers. Some women, especially those with sagging large breasts, might benefit from using push up brassieres for improved shape and added support to their breasts.

The Legend of The Vast Viper of Cajatambo

The Legend of:

The Vast Viper of Cajatambo

[And the Peruvian Wanka's]

(Overture) My son was a simpleton, sly with a curmudgeonly; better said, throughout his years he was unlucky, indeed ill-fated; all the same, he was trying to prove himself to the world, I dare say did notand so he followed the legend to its end, nonetheless. And so I shall share my story with you, lest you follow in his footstepsand I do not want to be responsible for that.

It’s an old tale, but I shall tell it nonetheless: the tale along with the story of my son; frightened as I might become and I dare say, a weak heart to boot, but I shall say it, tell you the tale of the serpent on the mountain area by Lima, Peru. To get there it is a rough ride so I suggest you take along all the necessities for a few days hike in the mountains. And there are no hotels to keep your warm at night so bring some blankets, and an assortment of other needs, you will not regret it.

As I was about to tell you, in this little sketch or outline, this area, this mountainous area, by Lima, Peru, is a most beautiful place, a place I’ve never set foot in, seen pictures of, but never, ever, not even once, set foot in: an area called Vast Viper Grotto. I don’t know where it is precisely, save for the fact my son told me its proximity, but god knows I’m no forest ranger, or mountaineer, nor do I even like camping; when it comes to camping out I look for a hotel, so I cannot help you there; nor to be quite frank would I want to help you.

Oh dear, I must say, I’m getting lost in this somnolent story already, it’s so tires me when I try to tell it, it is too depressing. The grotto under the beautiful mountain known as Cajatambo, are most beautiful, as I think I said already, and covered with snow should you reach the right areas: breathtaking. It was said, so legend has it, the serpent kinga vast viper of some naturecould swallow, devour a flock of sheep in a day, or even an ass or twoto boot, if left to wonder aimlessly in the rough terrain of this mountainous crater like world. Oh yes, oh yes, many have described its beauty, but none until now, has disclosed its dark secretsits dark side, and it has one, its king viper, its legendary meander-snake. But I owe it to you, if not myself to inform you.

If it could, I do believe, if it really could, the snake would hunt me down, and gulp me down whole.

Now where was I, yes indeed, the snake, and its hidden grotto, in the mountains; it has been said, and many have said it to me, and my son, that this viper was cast into this mountainous area long ago, in the time of the Wanka’s, that it was breed by them for warfare, and it got so huge, might huge, it could not be maintained, and for safety reasons, they deposed of it in the chilled mountains, thinking it would parish, but it did not, no indeed, it did not. It survived, and flourished, and remains in the ancient mountains of Cajatambo. Again, I must say, this was the penance given to the viper by the Wanka’s long ago, it was their judgment for it becoming too dominate, yet they could not bring themselves to destroy the beast completely, so they ridded themselves of it in the mountains.

And thus, my son climbed this mountain, and while refreshing himself by the grotto of this beast, it attacked him, twisted him, devouring him, down its slimy and fatty walls of soft tissue, without sound, it just swallowed, gulped as if it was having a feast: this vast viper with its tooth and fangs, it ate him whole, yet it left his sole of his foot, the underside of the foot, the bottomed part of his foot, it is all I have that belonged to him, why the sole, I’ll never know; that is what was found when an expedition went looking for him sometime after.

Island of Majorca

The beautiful island of Majorca (Mallorca to some) is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, with over 15 million visitors per year. While most tourists come for the sun, sand and surf - of which Majorca has plenty - the small island off the coast of Spain has far more to offer tourists than the stunning beaches. Majorca is famed for both its nightlife and its historic architecture and beauty.

Tourism has been good to Majorca, raising its standard of living well above the rest of the area. In return, Majorca is heaven for tourists. You’ll find Majorca hotels that range from economy to super-luxury class in nearly every city on the island. Whether you’re looking for the full experience of a luxury spa resort, or a simple room as your home base on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, there are Majorca hotels that will suit your budget and your style.

No matter where you’re staying on Majorca, there are beaches - Majorca boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - but you’ll also find lesser known tourist attractions in the various cities and towns. Whether you like the bustling party-all-night-long atmosphere of Palma Nova and Magaluf or the serene beauty of tiny Cala San Vicente, you’ll find the resort atmosphere that will make your vacation stay in Majorca perfect.

Depending on where on the island you choose to stay, you’ll have your choice of Majorca hotel accommodations from single rooms to apartamentas, all in one economy suites that can be rented by the week or the month to luxury accommodations in modern resorts that include spas and entertainment all under one roof. Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa and Paguera are all located in the Calvia district on the southwest coast. The heavily populated tourist resort area is bustling and busy, with neon lit nightclubs and bright delights by day and night. The beaches tend toward the soft, warm sands that most tourists enjoy for their semi-tropical vacation hours, and the night-life keeps everyone dancing till dawn.

On the east coast of the island, Sa Coma and Porto Cristo offer a contrast to the sparkling, densely packed beaches of the southwest coast of Majorca. Unlike that coast, the eastern coast of Majorca has had the benefit of being planned and built deliberately as a resort area - and while some may think that lends it a more ‘plastic’ air, nothing could be further from the truth. The Majorca hotels and resorts in the tourist areas have gone to great pains to preserve the historic feel of the east coast, and the stretches of beach and islands between Porto Cristo and Palma are a combination of golden sand and the more rugged, rocky beaches of the north.

In keeping with the promise of anything under the sun, the northwestern coast of Majorca offers a completely different atmosphere than the rest. Puerta Pollensa is one of the older tourist areas of the island, and the Majorca hotels along the rocky coast still have the old-fashioned air of the British resort hotels of the early 1920s, a century removed from the concrete and modern bustle of the other tourist areas of Majorca.

Majorca is one of the busiest resort countries in the world. There’s a saying in Majorca that if you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist. From rocky mountain hiking trails to sun and surf and water sports, Majorca offers it all. Come to Majorca and see for yourself.

Touring Bicycles

Touring bicycles are special types of bicycles used for long-distance travel and for racing. A bicycle tour might take a day, weeks, or months to complete according to the plan. A touring bicycle is a mix of a mountain and racing bicycle. There are two types of bicycle tours: loaded touring and credit card touring.

In loaded touring, the tourist takes all the equipment with him. The tourist takes food, cooking equipment, and a tent for camping. To accommodate all of the equipment, these bicycles are designed with heavy-duty frames. These frames help to carry specialized luggage. Credit card touring bicycles carry less equipment with them.

Touring bicycles usually have luggage racks in the front and the rear end. For reliability and long distance comfort, these cycles use road handlebars and saddles. Rugged hubs are combined with handlebars to provide durability; sometimes instead of baskets, bicycle trailers are used in touring bicycles. These trailers provide a low center of gravity and can be separated easily.

A touring bicycle has certain special characteristics, including a longer wheelbase and a stable steering geometry. The wheelbase increases the stability at the cost of quick response. A broader range of gearing is present in these bicycles. These gears help the cycle to carry equipment when climbing hills, which also provides durability and control in a varied terrain. Internal geared hubs are used in touring bicycles. In an internal geared hub, the mechanism is enclosed within a hub and is reliable and requires very little maintenance. Luggage racks, mudguards, and lights are present in every touring bicycle. They have also space for water bottles, tools, and spare parts. These cycles have a longer chain stay and a greater distance from rear wheel to pedals, for pedaling comfort.

Stronger brakes are required for touring bicycles. Cantilever brakes or linear-pull brakes are used in touring bicycles, and disc brakes are also used in touring bicycles. Disc brakes have greater braking power and have improved performance in wet weather. Touring bikes are usually available at custom bicycle shops.

Bonding with Your Kids through ATVs

Are you thinking of doing something with your bored kids during the holidays just so that you won’t have to bust a budget going on a long overseas trip with them? Now is the perfect time to consider Kids ATV for your kids so that you can spend some special family time together.

One of the best ways to bond with other family members is to share an adventure - it doesn’t really matter whether you have boys or girls - it’s an inbuilt system. We have an ingrained need for adventure. Your investment in a durable and safe Kids ATV will be worth your while when you discover more of your children and vice versa. That’s why families go camping, fishing, hiking or climbing together. The excitement and thrill will serve to bring the family closer together.

If you think ATVs are not safe for Kids, you’ve got another ‘think’ coming. You see, as more and more people come to embrace ATVs as an acceptably safe and fun sport, ATV manufacturers are rapidly coming up with more ATV designs that are suitable for Kids of all ages. Kids ATVs are generally smaller and much safer than the adult version because of their level of expertise and control of their ATVs.

Kids ATV manufacturers have included safety features like kill switches, speed restrictors, extra large brakes that is hard to miss, emergency engine cut-off that helps keep kids control their ATVs better. In most cases, these Kids ATVs are also designed to give parents a certain level of control of their kids’ ATVslike the emergency engine cut-off feature. In this case, if the parent is following the child from behind, the emergency cut-off can be quickly implemented without trouble at all.

If you’re talking about a pre-teen, teen or young adult, they may start off with a Kids ATV meant for training and practice. Even when they’re riding these ATVs meant for kids, they may not want you, the parent, to have too much control over their ATVs. Therefore, once they have outgrown their ATVs, it’s time to upgrade their mobile to a more age-appropriate one. However, this is for you to discuss with your child.

As interest heightens, the expansion and diversity of new ATV models are being designed and launched. The number of designs out there in the market is almost confusing, as if that’s a bad thing at all. From entry level Kids ATVs, sports and utility ATVs to professional ATVs, there is a wide range of different designs, options, features, add-ons, tools and safety gears that parents can consider getting for their kids. In fact, an upgrade is almost effortless these days with the ever-growing supplementary parts and accessories that floods the market today to make Kids ATVs more comfortable, safer, funkier and more convenient.

So, if you’re already into it, why not get your kids into it as well? Kids ATVs are relatively cheap these days because of the fierce competition in the market. And safety is almost certainly guaranteed with so many safety features implemented into Kids ATVs. So, go for it and have the ride of your lifewith your kids!

To Boost Your Brain, Move That Body!

If you really want to be at your absolute peak mentally, if you want to have a dynamic and well functioning brain, an essential component of your program must include regular physical exercise. Does that surprise you?

You might wonder why physical exercise is important if your main priority is to improve the functioning of your mind.

People often forget that the brain is actually part of the physical body, and it has very important physical needs. Your brain is nourished by the blood that comes in through your arteries, pumped by your heart. The blood carries the nutrients and oxygen that your brain cells need to burn for fuel.

Many scientific tests conducted on humans and animals have found that the brain benefits from physical exercise. Here are some of the ways exercise helps brain function:

Happiness Your Choice!

Every day, I witness people leading chaotic lifestyles, responding like robots to the negative circumstances of their lives, creating more dissonance and conflict. They seek solace in the next best thing, person or position they can find, but always end up frustrated and wondering why they are not truly happy. It is a conundrum of sorts. Sadly, it is self-perpetuating. Stress, negativity and unpleasant reactions to everyday situations only beget more of the same experiences on a deeper level. This, of course, creates undue stress on your body, mind and spirit.

Letting the stress of unplanned or unwanted events influence the way you react to and view the world will always lead to turmoil. Living with a mind-set of negativity and fear will blind you to the miraculous flow of bliss, which is within and around you always.

I spent the better part of twenty years frustrated and unhappy with my life. Although I accomplished much more than I could ever have imagined possible, I still lived in a state of dissatisfaction. One would think being a Navy SEAL (the elite special warfare unit) would have been the pinnacle of my life, but I looked upon my military profession with disdain. Then I was living my childhood dream, playing guitar in a rock band, but irritability and aggravation permeated the mood of that environment. Years later, while running my scuba diving company, a day job that many people envied, I felt only petulance and exasperation. I dated many great women from all walks of life, but all my relationships ended in disaster. I moved from state to state, career to career and woman to woman, with no psychological or emotional liberation. I felt lost and I was suffering. I was wasting this precious life and something had to change. And one day, it did.

I often hiked to help temporarily alleviate the stress in my life. Being in the mountains took me to another place where I could, if only for a short time, escape the turmoil of my life. Waking up one morning angrier and more stressed than usual, I decided to forego work and hike a mountain near my home. As I stomped my way to the top, each footstep reverberated with anger. Hiking always helped relieve my anxiety, but I was finding little release this day. I knew I could not go on living like this. I had to figure something out, and fast. For almost a decade, I was unhappy and frustrated with wherever I was and with whatever I was doing. I knew my own choices had brought me to where I was, but that only made me feel worse. I had made the choices, so I must have deserved to feel that way. Despite my best efforts, I was not where I thought I would be. My business was extremely time-consuming and stressful, money always seemed short, my relationships were disastrous and I felt utterly alone in the world.

When I reached the summit, I found a quiet place to sit and think. I looked out and took in the beauty of the mountains and lakes. The warm summer breeze felt good on my face, and the many sounds of nature slightly quieted my mind and eased my tension. Exhausted, I laid back on a huge boulder to relax. I felt helpless and I prayed for an answer to come my way. My head was pounding so I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep. I woke about forty minutes later, feeling kind of strange.

As I refocused my vision out over the breathtaking landscape, everything seemed surreal. It was so quiet, peaceful and unaffected by the chaotic state of the world. It was as if my worries and frustration were still sleeping. For a moment I thought perhaps I was just dreaming, but I was not. I wondered why life could not be this peaceful all the time. I took a deep breath and felt myself expanding into the vastness of the mountains. For the moment, I was on top of the world. Anything seemed feasible, and my mind was open to all the amazing possibilities of what I could do and be. I was elatedin a pure state of momentary ecstasy. If only it could last.

Quietly relishing the moment, I had what some might call an epiphany. I realized that all my problems were still waiting for me at the bottom of this mountain. Nothing had changed, yet something seemed very different. Why was I so happy here and now on the top of this mountain, but not happy at the bottom?

I sat thinking about this for a while, and then something occurred to me. I had heard it many times before, but never really grasped the concept. Bliss is a state of minda choice, a simple choice. While sleeping on the mountain, I had unconsciously connected with the flowing bliss of life. What if I actively chose to stay in this state as I hiked down the trail? Would it work, could it work? I decided to try. I figured if I could mentally bring myself back to this spot whenever I began to feel stressed or overwhelmed, I could reconnect with that feeling of bliss.

Before I left the serene summit for the turbid waters of normal life, I captured the essence of the moment in my head. I took a mental snapshot of the scenery, the smells, the sounds, and how I felt at that moment in timeempty of stress, full of peace. What I did next was the key to my success; in my mind, I created a Bliss Boxa special gold box for that moment to exist. In it, I put the embodiment of everything that helped to create the perfect peace I felt. I tied up the box with a gold ribbon and placed it on a storage shelf in my mind. I knew I could count on opening it later, and in the days that followed I was thoroughly amazed to find how well my Bliss Box worked.

Sometimes you can’t control the situations you find yourself in, but you can control your emotions and your actions. By creating your own Bliss Box, you can find peace and harmony any time you choose.

It is said that to be human is to suffer, and yes this world can be a painful, harsh place. But it is the way you look at things that dictates the circumstances surrounding your life and the way you perceive the world. Contentment comes from within, and no amount of searching or material gain will lead you to blissful living. You and only you hold the key to happinessuse it often.

Tips To Expressing Yourself With T-Shirts

T shirts can provide a lasting impression on your life and those around you. Through simple illustrations and slogans they immediately show your current feelings or opinions.

Vintage t shirts will bring up situations from the long ago past. They can be anything from funny to rude and offensive, to sayings, to your favorite rock band of yore, to baby tees.
And don’t forget putting a t shirt on your dog. Ugh.

In my own experience I have been a cancer survivor for 5 1/2 years. In my first summer my struggle inspired my sister-in-law to get active in the Tacoma, Washington Relay For Life program of the American Cancer Society. Every spring they host a weekend walk and fund raiser. A large part of that walk is the Survivor’s walk celebrating all those people currently battling cancer and those who are cancer free.

All the survivors walking in that event are given purple t shirts with the Relay For Life logo on the front. On the back is the saying: I Am… Living Breathing Inspiration.

I love wearing my t shirt with that saying on it both for my own feelings and for the inspiration of those around me.

Another situation involved a camping/hiking trip my partner and I took several years ago in the Columbia River gorge near
The Dalles, Oregon.

This was the year the Sesquicentennial of the Oregon Trail was being reinacted. A replica of the 1843 wagon trains was in progress coming all the way from the mid-west to Portland, Oregon.

When we joined them they had arrived in The Dalles and were camping out at a large fair grounds. After square dancing the night before, we set out on foot hiking with the train for that day’s journey, a distance of about 18 miles.

When we got up the next morning and were about to leave the train, we came on a fellow in a wheel chair who was selling
t shirts. He said they were his own original design, in this case a fine pencil sketch of the Oregon Trail at Barlow Pass. I bought one on the spot both to support him in his efforts
and for my own memory of the occasion. I still wear that tee shirt and think of the fun my girl friend and I had on that trip.

The next obvious use of t shirts is if you’re a sports fan. In my own case as a long suffering Seattle Seahawks fan, I still wear the tattered t shirt I bought in 1983 that reads “1983 Play-Offs” along with the team logo on the front. I guess that hasn’t been the last playoffs we’ve been in, but it sure seems like it.

So get out there and express yourself with a t shirt. Buy one or get online to design your own. I think every aspect of life has been shown on a t shirt and every new experience that shows up
seems to wind up on a tee shirt.
