Happiness

According to Webster, happiness is a state of mind. With that thought in mind, let’s think how people of the world in every land and nation, are searching for the same thing. That is to be happy. People are doing everything to achieve it from vacations, sports, fishing and camping. They work all week and cannot wait for the weekend to do what ever it takes to relieve their desperate need for happiness.

Only to find out it is momentary and not lasting. People try to buy happiness; they search for friends and a church, and anything they can find to make them happy.

Another sad fact is the disease of depression that is plaguing our world today. It has no mercy, it has no age group. It is plaguing our teenagers and even younger children; it is literally destroying the minds and hearts of millions, even to the point of suicide. Somewhere, every second of the day, someone is committing suicide and millions of others are planning to or in the process of doing it.

Isn’t it sad that every depressed person and everybody in the world that is searching for happiness, for what ever reason, cannot find Jesus? The only true chance of happiness in the world is Jesus. Not only will he bring happiness which is only momentary, but will give you joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Joy everlasting, never ends, money cannot buy it. It only comes through being born again. I spent most of my life depressed and the last few years in deep depression, even to a nervous breakdown.

But the great news is I not only found happiness which I desperately needed but I found Jesus, and he gave me not only Joy, but peace and rest for my life.

One more sad thought, we have millions of Christians who have given their life to Jesus that are still not happy. As a matter of fact they are depressed, and down and out. Satan has come in and found a way to rob you of your joy. You certainly are living way beneath your privilege if you are a Christian and are not happy and full of joy.

Jesus wonderfully saved and healed me of my problems and I am so full of joy that I cannot describe it to you. I have spent ten years of my life wonderfully full of joy and peace and happiness. I would lie to tell you some good news today. Do not let Satan have one day of your life, making you unhappy or depressed. Give your all to Jesus and he will in return give you that happiness you desire.
